A total of 2 units are required per chair.
Fritz Hansen production chairs usually have 6mm metric screws.
Some very early E. Kold Christensen have a smaller inch size screw, which corresponds to 4.7 mm in metric. If you have smaller screws than 6mm it is likely that it is inch tread. Please make sure before you order.
Please note: I suspect the production was changed to the stronger screw because the thinner screw did not hold.
We had customers with E. Kold Christensen chairs both with thin and thicker screws.
If you want to restore to the original, you should definitely use the thinner one, but keep in mind that the load-bearing capacity may be limited for daily use!
