We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings as a backyard workshop to becoming a global company. In 1986 Thomas Sterl began to turn his love for furniture into his profession. He drew his ideas and inspiration from the trained master upholsterers of the Art Deco era. He was fascinated by the creative combination of an elegance of form, precious materials, strong colours and sensual themes.
The workshop, which was initially just 180 square metres, has since been extended to around 1200 square metres. The business receives inquiries from cities all over Europe. The secret of this success is the harmony between quality, exclusivity and timeless elegance. This has been a feature of the business from day one.
Thomas Sterl laid the foundations for a great company. Our company philosophy is:
